Making a Payment - Payment Reason

For payments that are paid using an Ebury, you will be required to state the Payment Reason when processing the payment. Ebury needs this information to correctly meet the requirements for the payment when processing it through their banking providers as countries can have different rules about how payments are processed depending on what the payment is for.

This is set from a defined list by Ebury and the options are as follows:

payment_for_goods	Payment for identifiable goods
payment_for_services	Payment for identifiable services
repatriation_of_goods	Repatriation of sale of identifiable goods
repatriation_of_services	Repatriation of sale of identifiable services
intercompany_funding	Intercompany Funding for Operation Purposes
salary_payroll	Salary/Payroll
tax_related	Tax related
direct_investment	Direct Investment
property_purchase	Payments for Property Purchase or Sale
living_costs	Payments for Living costs
repayment_of_loan	Repayment of a loan
balance_hedging	Balance sheet hedging
repatriation_from_investment	Repatriation of revenues from investments
not_related_to_goods_or_services	Other not related to identifiable goods or services (only Spot type)
