Your Yordex master balance is a bank account held in your name which we use to top up all Yordex cards.
This is a virtual account held in your name by our banking partner Transact Payments Ltd.
Adding funds to the master balance
Please note we can only accept transfers made through Faster Payments and cannot accept BACS transfers. If you are unsure how to use Faster Payments, please consult your bank.
- In the Yordex interface, go to the ["Cards"]
- You will see the master balance displayed on the page
- Click ["Top Up"]
- Transfer money to the account listed, please note we can only accept transfers made through Faster Payments and cannot accept BACS transfers.
Minimum master balance reminders
The "Minimum master balance" will send you a warning message if the master balance falls below that level. We are working on a Direct Debit option to automatically top up your master balance if it falls below that level.
To turn the Minimum master balance warnings off, simply enter £0 and click [Ok].
Booking the transfer
We do not sync master balance top-ups with accounting systems. This means that when you transfer funds from your existing bank account to the Yordex bank account, you have to book that transfer yourself in your accounting system. If you use Xero, how to book the master balance top-up is explained here.
